Our handmade bath & beauty products contain NO parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate (or similar), unnatural preservatives, or petroleum products. Please see below a list of the Key Ingredients that we use in our products as well as a brief description of each. As always, if you have questions regarding our products or an ingredient you are unsure of please email us at email@example.com
#1 - (Coconut Oil) In two simple words ... Natural Lather. Coconut adds to hardness and creates "big bubbles" in soap.
#2 - (Shea Butter) This is one of our amazing ingredients! It offers a creamy texture to our products for a more "moisturized feel".
#3 - (Hemp Oil) We use unrefined hemp to avoid chemical contamination possible in the refining process. It also gives a nice natural aroma to the soap. Hemp oil adds a unique skin feel and moisturizing effect.
#4 - (Organic Palm Oil) We use organic "sustainable" palm oil, for the reasons of deforestation in tropical regions (see below for further explanation). Palm oil is necessary to make a harder, stable bars of soap. There is a Palm Oil Controversy which is of concern to us. Thus we use a "sustainable" product. Over the past few years, "bio-diesel" (and the need for edible non-hydrogenated oils) has created a huge demand for oil. Palm oil is only harvested significantly in tropical (rain forest) regions. More demand for "palm oil" means more deforestation. Aware of this issue, we decided to use only palm oil which is from a renewable and sustainable resource. Our organic palm does not contribute to the "palm thirsty" industry which ultimately demands more deforestation rather is farmed organically thus not polluting the land and creating further problems in the rain forest regions.
#5 - (Essential Oils) These oils are naturally derived from plant fluid (usually by distillation of the plant) extracted from bark, leaf, or petals of plants and flowers.
#6 - (Glyceryl Stearate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate) This amazing combination is used in our products that require an all natural emulsifier.
#7 - (Sweet Almond Oil) This is a natural product that is best used for enhancing and maintaining beauty. It is rich in many vitamins such as Vitamin E and D as well as minerals such as calcium and magnesium. All these vitamin components inherent to almond. This rich oil is an all natural must in our products.
#8 - (Glycerin) This ingredient is a neutral, sweet, colorless, thick liquid which freezes to a gummy paste and which has a high boiling point. Glycerin can be dissolved into water or alcohol, but not oils. It is a great solvent.
#9 - (Olive Fruit Oil) This one is a traditional emollient used in our soaps because it is mild and gives an amazing moisturize feel.
#10 - (Cocoa butter) This delicious ingredient is one of the most stable fats known in the beauty industry, a quality that, coupled with natural antioxidants, prevents rancidity. Giving it a storage life of two to five years. The velvety texture, pleasant fragrance and emollient properties of cocoa butter have made it a popular ingredient in our soaps and lotions. The moisturizing abilities of cocoa butter are frequently recommended for prevention of stretch marks in pregnant women, treatment of chapped or burned skin and lips, and as a daily moisturizer to prevent dry, itchy skin.
#11 - (Pure vitamin E Oil) This oil is extremely versatile. It promotes healing is a strong antioxidant that can aid in the prevention of premature aging.
#12 - (Radish Root Ferment Filtrate) This ingredient is used as our all natural preservative.
